Bring together participants who can cycle independently after the lesson series into a cycling group. Encourage them to take bike rides together.

For participants who can cycle independently in traffic at the end of the lesson series, you can set up a cycling group. That group makes a recreational bike ride of about two hours every month. In the neighbourhood, tailored to previously inexperienced cyclists, and guided by a volunteer.

Such a cycling group encourages participants to continue cycling even after the lessons are over, and to do so confidently. Moreover, it also creates a close community of novice cyclists, who can assist each other.

Tip: Provide a bike for participants who do not have their own bike after the class series ends. Also make sure participants and Volunteers are insured.
