Ostend greatly expands number of cycling classes
Ostend wants to get as many Austrians as possible on their bikes. That is why it is greatly expanding its offer of cycling lessons. By 2023, not 20 but 180 people will be able to take cycling lessons. Registrations for those lessons are now open.
State Secretary de Moor teaches asylum seekers how to cycle in Arendonk
In the run-up to International Cycling Day on 3 June, State Secretary for Asylum and Migration Nicole de Moor also jumps on her bike. At the Arendonk reception centre, she visited a pilot project of BE CYCLE, which teaches asylum seekers to cycle in reception centres.
Become a volunteer and teach adults in Flemish Brabant to cycle
Cycling changes lives. It gives people freedom of movement and joie de vivre. Yet there are still many adults in Flemish Brabant who cannot cycle. Conference Women on Bikes! We were there.
On 21 September, the federal government's Mobility Department organised an exciting conference on women on bicycles in Belgium.
And De Fietsschool was there. Ah yes of course, because more women on bicycles is what we work on every day!
